The Port Angeles Community Players’ (PACP) is excited to announce their upcoming original production of The Man in the Green Truck”,  by Sequim resident playwright John Bertholl.

The Man in the Green Truck is based on Bertholl’s own experiences taking care of his aging parents. It focuses on the challenges of becoming the decision-maker for aging and ailing parents. His father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and his mom hides her congestive heart disease. He navigates the emotionally charged landscape with good humor and bits of poetry. An accidental shopping trip to an X-rated sex toy store leads to a wrestling match with a blow-up doll. A pair of panties becomes a telephone. And other Funny incidents in the play mitigate the pain of losing loved ones. The story is one we might all recognize, if not now, then someday. What do we do as we care for the parents who loved us?

Auditions will be Sat, Jan 25 at the Playhouse. Director Barbara Jo Maier will lead the cast of eight presenting the story in a readers theater fashion along with additional multimedia components. No memorization is required and the rehearsal schedule will be light.
